More than twenty years ago I had a conversation with my friend about an experience she had in 1957. She was the University of Mississippi, a freshman, and a friend asked her to go along so that she could join in a party.
My friend we'll call her Caroline was a native of Jackson, Mississippi. Her mother and stepfather's families had been in the state since before the American Civil War.

I was discussing my interest in Frank Lloyd Wright and mentioned a house in Jackson, Mississippi, the Fountainhead.
Wright was the subject of a fictional book by Rand, the Fountainhead. The book became a bestselling novel by Ayn Rand.
The movie is an homage to Frank Lloyd Wright. Though not named specifically many felt that Wright was Roark the architect.
In a conversation with my friend Caroline she told me that she had been chatting with some boys at a rooming or frat house and one of them invited she and her friends to his house for a party. Drinks and barbecue had been mentioned.
